Zhicong Liang received his BSc in Chemical Engineering from Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) in 2021 (2017-2021). From 2021, He joined Prof. Dario Dekel’s group as a MSc student. Currently, under the co-supervision of Prof. Xuezhong He (from GTIIT), he is mainly engaged in the field of gas membrane separation.
Jinliu Zhong received her BSc degree in Chemical Engineering from Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (GTIIT) in 2022. In her junior year, she joined the Green Catalyst Laboratory, which is led by Prof. Ziyi Zhong, to explore structured polymer support with controlled pore architecture for photocatalyst immobilization and apply it to wastewater treatment. With a strong interest in fuel cells, she started her MSc supervised by Prof. Dario Dekel in the Wolfson Department of Chemical Engineering at the Technion, since 2022.
Luba is the lab manager of the TEEM group since March 1, 2022.
Luba received her BSc degree in Chemistry from Bar-Ilan university, Israel, in 2008. Then she continued her studies at the Environmental Engineering faculty at the Technion, where she received her MSc degree. Following a short period as an R&D fertilizers chemist at Haifa Group, she joined Dganit Danino’s lab at the faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering at the Technion as a PhD student. Her research focused on the ‘1D self-assembly of lipids into nano and microtubes’. After completing her PhD, Luba worked as a Regulation Affairs project
Dr. Leila Yone Reznik is a Chemical Engineer graduated from the School of Chemistry of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1996. After graduating, she attended the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Program of COPPE/UFRJ, where she completed her M.Sc. and received a D.Sc. degree in 2003. Dr. Leila has a strong background in corrosion, materials science and related subjects. Her research is focused on the study, monitoring and mitigation of corrosion in the industrial environment, water treatment based on corrosion inhibitors and biocides and application of water reuse in the oil and gas industry. Before joining Prof.
Nada received her B.Sc. in Energy Engineering and Environment from An-Najah National University, Palestine in August 2018, . In February 2019, she joined Arava Institute for Environmental Studies and worked under Dr Tareq Abu Hamed’s supervision; the current Executive Director of the institute, in his research which was based on the production of continuous hydrogen via metal hydrolysis processes, followed by receiving their diploma in Environmental Science. Immediately after, she pursued her M.Sc. studies with Professor Roni Kasher at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, majoring in Hydrology and Water Quality, more specifically, specializing in desalination and water treatment and
Syeda Mushrifa Zahan’s doctoral research broadly covers Anion Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell. Prior to joining Technion, Mushrifa was a Project Assistant at the Center for Nanoscience and Engineering (CeNSE), IISc, Bangalore. Mushrifa has a M.Sc. in Nanoscience and Technology (Tezpur University) and a B.Sc. in Physics. She was also a Junior Research Fellow (2016-2018) at the Department of Energy, Tezpur University. Apart from her academic work, Mushrifa aspires to contribute to making STEM a more diverse and inclusive space, while in her free time she paints.
Zihua Chen received his BSc in Pharmaceutical engineering from Guangdong University of Technology, China in 2016. Then, he studied his master's course at Shantou University, China, majoring in Organic chemistry. Since October 2021, he as a Ph.D. student join Prof. Dario Dekel’s group in the Wolfson Department of Chemical Engineering at the Technion.
Maisa received her B.Sc. in Biochemical Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in 2021. Immediately after, she joined Prof. Dario Dekel's group to pursue her M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering
Luba received her Master of Business Administration from Tel-Aviv University in 2008. Luba worked in our group as an administrative manager.
Current role: Administrative manager at the GTEP programm, Chemical Engineering, Technion.
Lab manager since September 2019 until February 2022.
Kalanit received her BSc in Biotechnology Engineering from Ort Braude College, Israel, in 2011. In 2012 she joined Dganit Danino lab at the faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering at the Technion as MSc student. Later, in 2014 she transferred to the direct PhD track. Kalanit research focused on the characterization of the interactions between proteins and biological membranes.
