Leila Yone Reznik

Dr. Leila Yone Reznik is a Chemical Engineer graduated from the School of Chemistry of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1996. After graduating, she attended the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Program of COPPE/UFRJ, where she completed her M.Sc. and received a D.Sc. degree in 2003. Dr. Leila has a strong background in corrosion, materials science and related subjects. Her research is focused on the study, monitoring and mitigation of corrosion in the industrial environment, water treatment based on corrosion inhibitors and biocides and application of water reuse in the oil and gas industry. Before joining Prof. Dekel’s group in February 2022, Dr. Leila worked as an Associate Professor for almost 10 years at the Inorganic Processes Department of the School of Chemistry/UFRJ. With her experience in electrochemistry and electrochemical techniques, at the TEEM group she will contribute to the work in the field of electrocatalysts/electrocatalysis applied to fuel cell’s technology.
