Dr. Leila Yone Reznik is a Chemical Engineer graduated from the School of Chemistry of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1996. After graduating, she attended the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Program of COPPE/UFRJ, where she completed her M.Sc. and received a D.Sc. degree in 2003. Dr. Leila has a strong background in corrosion, materials science and related subjects. Her research is focused on the study, monitoring and mitigation of corrosion in the industrial environment, water treatment based on corrosion inhibitors and biocides and application of water reuse in the oil and gas industry. Before joining Prof.
Sapir received her BSc in Chemical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 2016. Sapir joined Prof. Dekel's group in July 2015, during her BSc research project on Stability Studies of new Anion Exchange Membranes. In November 2016, she joined Dekel’s group as a Master student at the same filed. Since June 2018, Sapir is a PhD student (direct track) under the joint supervision of Prof. Charles Diesendruck from Chemistry department and Prof. Dekel, at the Technion.
